The countdown to Christmas is here. It’s interesting speaking to my patients about their Christmas preparations. Some people have been ready for months, others are still running around getting things prepared. In all the rush that occurs try and take some time to reflect on the real reason for Christmas. This Sunday at Jubilee Church, Farnham there is a special nativity performance to remind you what Christmas is all about. The service starts at 10:15.
In all the hectic run up to Christmas we have had a number of patients who have attended with dental emergencies this week and it is clear to see why. They are generally members of the public who have not seen a dentist for a health check-up for a while and the condition of their mouth has deteriorated to the point where they do not want to have toothache over Christmas. This is completely understandable there are many people out there who are really apprehensive about seeing the dentist.
How do I prevent toothache?
The best thing to do to prevent toothache is to see your dentist regularly. That way things can be caught early and preventative advice can be given to stop the condition getting worse. Many people would avoid seeing the dentist and that maybe due to previous bad experiences, so find a dentist who is understanding and who can provide pain-free dental care.
