Dr Taher Rashid (BDS Manc) Practice Principal GDC:79216
Dr Taher Rashid has been a restorative and cosmetic dentist in private practice for over 11 years. He grew up in Sunbury-on-Thames and gained his BDS dental degree from the prestigious Turner Dental School in Manchester. Having worked in both Guildford and London he moved back to Surrey to raise a family and continue his passion for dentistry. His empathic nature allows him to really understand his patients and establish a great rapport by listening to what they want. He is a full member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD) and regularly meets with others at the forefront of this field both from the USA and UK.
Dr Rashid frequently attends conferences delivered by the world’s most respected restorative and cosmetic dentists to ensure that he is providing the most advanced dental care available. He is a certified Inman aligner and Invisalign provider which are the latest treatments for straightening teeth with invisible braces for adults.
Creating Time Dental has allowed Dr Rashid and the team to provide excellent dental care in a first-class environment. Whether it’s providing healthy mouths or transforming a smile, giving confidence to their patients is their aim.

The enjoyment I get is when I can help give someone a real sense of confidence that comes from creating a fantastic smile or improve their quality of life by getting their dental health to a high level. This means that the guests I see can step out with the assurance that they have been looked after and knowing that their smile will make a positive impact on their lives and of those around them.
Nowadays most people have very busy lifestyles. That’s why at Time Dental we want to make the time spent with us as comfortable as possible. Having become a father I can appreciate how valuable every minute is and love spending it with my family. Every second counts! When I do have any free time, it’s spent painting or catching up on the latest film releases. I find this very therapeutic.”
Amanda Brooks Practice Manager
Amanda has worked in dentistry for 15 years and has a wealth of experience to bring to Time Dental. She ensures the smooth running of the practice both behind the scenes as well as at reception. She enjoys meeting people and will greet you in reception with a friendly smile and a glass of wine, if you so desire!!
Amanda is a local in Farnham and has been here most of her life. In her spare time she enjoys horse riding and loves to potter about in her garden. She also volunteers at the local Leonard Cheshire Home, Bells Piece.
Mandy Borthwick Dental Hygienist
Mandy Borthwick graduated with a merit from the Eastman Dental Hospital in London. She was awarded the Oral B award for academic excellence and she attained a distinction for her Diploma in Oral Health Education. She has a keen interest in providing gentle hygiene therapy and tailoring her oral health programmes to meet her patient’s needs.
Mandy has vast experience in customer care having worked as cabin crew and providing a first class service is the back bone to her work ethic. In her spare time she enjoys salsa dancing and painting.
Pipa Hughes Dental Nurse
Pipa is our dental nurse. She has been qualified and registered with the GDC for 8 years. She has a real passion for her job and assists clinically as well as on reception as a valuable member of the team. She feels a big part of her role is to make all or patients feel welcome and comfortable when in the treatment room. Originally from Kent, Pipa has lived in Surrey for over 10 years now. She loves the countryside and enjoys long walks with her fiancée. When she’s not multitasking at Time Dental she also enjoys cooking and baking, watching the latest film releases and reading in her spare time.
