Full Mouth Rejuvenation
When a mouth has deteriorated over a period of time, we can still help you! Worn teeth or teeth affected by periodontal (gum) disease can be treated. Full mouth rejuvenation requires restoring the top and bottom teeth to function. This allows you to chew with confidence and in comfort. Back to Cosmetic Dentistry.
Smile Makeovers
The first step to enhancing your smile is for us to understand what you are looking for and what your expectations are. We may carry out computer imaging which allows you to see what your smile could look like before starting the procedure.
The second step is to make a 3D model of your mouth called a Diagnostic Wax-Up. This gives you a preview of what your smile will look like before even touching a tooth. This wax-up allows us to check form and function of your smile.
The third step is to recontour your teeth and provide you with temporary veneers that are based on the diagnostic wax up. This allows you to get a feel for what your new smile will be like and also allows us to fine tune the veneers to your requirements. These changes made to your temporary veneers are then replicated for your final restorations.
The fourth step is the fit of your restorations. Our master ceramist duplicates the temporary veneers and adds finishing touches to create natural beautiful looking teeth- a real masterwork in artistry. Back to Cosmetic Dentistry.
Porcelain Veneers
Veneers are individually handcrafted bespoke ceramic restorations that are bonded to teeth. They allow us to improve aesthetics, form and function of your teeth and smile. They last for 10 -15 years and do not discolour over time. Veneers can help to improve rotated, misshapen, discoloured or broken teeth. Whether you want a subtle improvement of your smile or you want to make more of an impact, discuss your options with your dentist. Back to Cosmetic Dentistry.
Gum Aesthetics
“Gummy smiles” can look aesthetically displeasing. To help improve this appearance gentle recontouring can make a huge difference to your smile in just one session. Back to Cosmetic Dentistry.
In-chair Tooth Whitening
The simplest way to improve your smile is to have tooth whitening. There are two main types: in-chair or at-home tooth whitening.
In-chair tooth whitening involves placing a high concentration of hydrogn peroxide on the tooth surface. This breaks the staining bonds and gives you a whiter smile. This type of tooth whitening is great if you want to whiten your teeth quickly and you can lighten your teeth by a few shades in under an hour.
At-home Tooth Whitening
At-home tooth whitening involves providing custom-made whitening trays and carbamide peroxide tooth whitening gel. The gel is placed into the whitening trays and is worn for a minimum of four hours or even better, overnight. At-home whitening can take between 2- 4 weeks to achieve the desired result. If the staining is very deep, it can take longer.
Quite often a combination of the above treatments can give great results. Tooth whitening can cause transient sensitivity during treatment. This sensitivity can last approximately 24 hours and will pass. Carrying out tooth whitening is very safe and causes as much tooth damage as drinking a single can of cola. Back to Cosmetic Dentistry.
Invisible Braces
Many people are unhappy with their smile due to teeth being crooked or crowded and may not want veneers to help straighten them. Orthodontics is a great alternative for straightening you teeth. When people think of orthodontics they may think of the traditional form of braces i.e. “metal train tracks”. This is certainly one method of moving the teeth but did you know that that you could have “clear” braces? There are currently different forms of braces available; braces that use “clear” tracks that run on the inner side of the teeth or even removable braces such as clear aligners or Inman Aligners (see below).
Clear aligners:
Many people have the odd tooth that is just slightly misaligned or rotated. Our clear aligners can help to get them back in place without anyone seeing the braces! Each clear aligner is worn for 2- 3 weeks. The number of clear aligners needed really depends on the extent of movement that is required. Ask your dentist to see if you are suitable for them.
The Inman Aligner: The new “wonder brace” can straighten your front teeth in as little as 8-12 weeks! Have a look in the portfolio section to see examples of what can be done. The Inman Aligner uses constant gentle pressure from springs that help to ease teeth back into line and give you a great smile (see the website at www.inmanaligner.com). Back to Cosmetic Dentistry.
Cosmetic Dentures
Why have dentures that look false? Our cosmetic dentures use teeth that have realistic translucency like a healthy tooth. We will involve you in the aesthetic set up stage which allows you to decide whether you want the perfect smile or a smile with individual characteristics.

Wrinkle and line reduction
Frown lines and crow’s feet can give you an aged look. Facial revitalisation can help to soften those lines and give you a younger facial appearance with smoother skin. We can also give a subtle brow-lift. Have a look in our portfolio section.
Facial revitalisation uses Botulinum toxin A. When placed, it stays localised to the area of application and prevents release of acetylcholine. This is a substance your body naturally produces to cause muscle contraction. By temporarily blocking release of this, the muscle stays relaxed and therefore does not produce wrinkles. It takes approximately one week for maximum effect to be achieved and can last about 3 months. Back to Cosmetic Dentistry. |
